Hello!
and yet again, they keep changing our flight's times... I think it has to do with the Israel-Turkey situation, thats what my travel agent says...

so basicly, this is the most up to date timing that I have:

TEL AVIV - ANTALYA CAI 444 B18 Oct 2009 16:55 OK20
ANTALYA - TEL AVIV CAI 473S 22Oct 2009 18:00O K20

this includes Benni whom is coming with me from Israel.

please confirm

Various opportunities & 'successes':

- e-mentoring. (tie up w GMO so far has yielded quite a no. of responses) I believe there's great ministry potential here Needs more intentional 'marketing' to recruit more e-mentors to come on board.

- various opportunities presented to us to 'educate' and cast the vision to the church abt online/virtual ministry... which led us to do IED@SG (www.iedier.com), OIC epal.sccc.org.sg etc.

Challenges:

- the need to know what is our 'hedgehog' for our Internet Ministry. There's so many possibilities & opportunities..Which one do we zoom in on, with our limited manpower and resources?

- the lack of a 'branding' for our work. And also a clear 'vision' to cast Most in the Christian community and church do not yet know abt us.

+ Singapore is small geographically, so we can go beyond the initial "virtual" connect.
Churches and Christian literature are very accessible. It's possible to meet up with our contacts or to send additional material by local post.

+ We have good infrastructures. Mobile technology picking up, and faster/cheaper internet is on the way.

+ There are many other Christian initiatives wanting to leverage on the internet, and who are willing to work hand-in-hand.

+ There are increasing number of mails coming in. (Thank You, GMO!) God is at work as lives are being touched, to become e-mentors and we also have meaningful on-going correspondence with those who write back. On 25-09-2009 I've had my 1st person pray a suggested prayer (typed out in my reply) to receive Christ! When he wrote in, his comment was "How can I pray to receive Christ?" :)

- Many e-mentors (responders) are not logging in regularly, and thus replies are sent a month or even more later. The challenge is not just replying, but also commitment to on-going correspondence beyond the first few replies, especially with seekers, and people who need prayers.

- We are currently dependent on GMO sites for the contacts. Question: Do we need/want to develop our own local evangelistic and online discipleship websites/chat rooms, etc.?
Our only local site, www.amazingdiscovery.net is not being "advertised" and the response form is linked to GMO's jesus2020.com at the moment to capture responses.

- Virtually-led movement is not synonymous with internet ministries. Each -led movement has to engage on the virtual level, because the web is a community where everyone is in.

We work in several islands and we have been using Skype and oovoo
for collaborative work and regular meetings. This has been great for helping us move forward on some key projects.
We've had some challenges when we use more than 4 video feeds simultaneously.
