  • Dear MinistryNet Participant,

For many of us, MinistryNet: Antalya 2009 was where God met us. It was an exciting time to learn new things, meet new people, and write plans for how we will integrate the use of the Internet into our movement building strategies.

We want to help you succeed with your plans! To do this, we are working to make the information produced during the Knowledge Café’s available in a summarized form, and we are working to get audio, video, slide shows, and other supporting documents available on this site so you can review what you heard or get what you missed.

    1. Most of the Knowledge Café information has been edited and summarized.
      1. Here are all the unedited Knowledge Café responses.  These are the notes that were recorded at each table. They will remain on the this conference website.
      2. Here are the summarized, edited Knowledge Café responses. (Requires a GCX login for access). These will remain on the conference wiki.
      3. Will you help us edit the Knowledge Café responses? If so, follow the instructions on this page.
      4. Most of the audio files and many of the videos are posted to the ‘Archived Sessions’ page, along with the other supporting documents, like slide show files and notes.
We have experienced technical difficulties getting the video files posted, so there have been some delays. We will continue posting audio and video files until everything we have is posted.

Will you take a minute and write what the conference meant for you and what your action plan is? Russ Martin started this discussion thread in the eMinistry Community in GCX, and it has been good to see what others are doing now.

We look forward to what God will do through you as you find new ways to use the Internet to help you build spiritual movements!

    Blessings,

    The MinistryNet Conference Team

P.S. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reply and ask. Or post your question to the MinistryNet section of the eMinistry Community.

  • Dear MinistryNet Participant,

We are excited you are coming to MinistryNet: Antalya 2009! The conference team is praying for you and praying that God uses this conference to change the way we think about ministry. This email is to explain the series of email messages you will receive over the next weeks.

Over the next weeks we need your response on two things; your travel plans and your virtually-led ministry experience.

We also want to help you get through the Istanbul and the Antalya airports smoothly when you arrive. So we will send you a guide for that. It will have important travel information, too.

All this will also be available on the MinistryNet conference website, through the MinistryNet Twitter feed, and the MinistryNet Facebook page.

Looking forward to seeing you in Antalya,
The MinistryNet: Antalya 2009 Conference Team

  • Searching Antalya by Ken Cochrum

Posted on September 1st, 2009 Karin No comments
  • “Search is the engine driving today’s knowledge economy.” So began a powerful talk by Ken Cochrum, Vice-President for Global Campus Strategy. But as our cultures are rapidly searching for information in a world that wants it right here, right now, we see many people searching for meaning. Shared passions. Shared beliefs. Shared experiences.

Of course, our greatest hope is not that we are searching for God, but that God is on the hunt for us. He is turning hearts toward Him. And He is looking for those whose hearts are committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). Ken challenged us to ask of the Lord as King David did — to search our hearts and test our ways and remove the sin within us (Psalm 139). What might God do with 170 hearts fully committed to Him?

He closed with this charge: May none of us be a dead weight in this convention. Do Your business with us, oh God, so that we may do Your business with the world.

    May it be so.

  • Mobilizing Volunteers by Karen Schenk

  • You can change your world by creating communities that become powerful movements which volunteers are attracted to.

    1. A single interest can cause or result in a community
    2. Communities can become powerful movements that attract volunteers
    3. Volunteers need to be mobilized

Karen posted all of her notes on Facebook!

  • Satellite MinistryNet Developing

Posted on August 31st, 2009 Jerry No comments
  • The possibilities for hosting a few satellite locations for MinistryNet: Antalya 2009 continue growing. At this point (no promises), we hope to produce a webcast that will be available to CCCI teams who are not able to personally come to Antalya for the conference. We want groups of students and staff members from an area to get together and experience the conference as a team as they watch the webcast and interact with the main conference in Antalya.

  • MinistryNet Twub #minnet.

Posted on August 25th, 2009 Jerry No comments
  • We established a Twub for MinistryNet at Twubs.com. This service gathers all hashtags across various social network sites such as Twitter, YouTube, FriendFeed, etc. Our is #minnet. The window below shows what is out there so far with the #minnet hashtag. We hope this will provide a channel for feedback during  the conference sessions and seminars. This will enhance the conference!

  • We have a worship team!

Posted on August 13th, 2009 Jerry No comments
  • Shortly after we posted about our need for a praise band, we found a group. Grace Community Church in Arlington, Texas will send a team to lead us in worship each day. They are graciously traveling at their own expense to serve us.

When you get to MinistryNet, make sure you thank them for their help with this conference!

  • Video Conferencing At Satellite Locations

Posted on July 13th, 2009 Jerry 2 comments
  • We know there will be people who want to attend MinistryNet but are unable to, so we are working to provide a video conferencing option at some satellite locations.

Plans are just forming now for which locations we broadcast to, but possible locations must be Campus Crusade AOA Offices with video conferencing equipment. Each satellite location will need a site leader to manage the equipment and help lead satellite discussion and planning.

Would you consider leading MinistryNet at a satellite location?

If so, leave us a comment here or send us an email from this site’s contact form.

This is Doris Beck’s response to the invitation to join MinistryNet: Antalya 2009.

I looked at the MinistryNet Conference Website. It brought back so many amazing memories from Bangkok!! I loved the time in Bangkok and have several ongoing relationships as a result of my time there. As well, several partnerships came out of it as well which has been very neat to see. I really do consider it one of the highlights of my time on staff!

    MinistryNet: Bangkok 2007 Praise Band

We’re looking for a band or a few individuals to lead worship for our time in Antalya each morning. Do you know of a band who would consider leading us in worship?
    If so, let us know.

  • #Hashtags Anyone? (use #minnet)

Posted on March 31st, 2009 Jerry No comments
  • Hashtags provide an immediate grouping for Internet content. If you use them, use #minnet for anything you publish related to this conference.

For example, if you’re sitting in one of the MinistryNet sessions and have an idea that is too good not to share immediately, you could post your thought to Twitter and include the hashtag, #minnet. Then later when anyone wants to learn more about the MinistryNet: Antalya 2009 Conference they can search Twitter (or any place else) for things related to #minnet.
